The youngsters, who are all being cared for or supported by Haven House Children's Hospice, and their families were treated to the magical train trip thanks to the generosity of Pinney Talfourd, a local solicitor’s firm.

Families were transported to the platform at North Weald on a heritage bus before boarding Santa's fantastically festive train ride filled with all the magic and wonder of the Christmas season. Children were entertained with singing, dancing and actors interacting with guests on the train before Father Christmas presented each with a special gift.

Mum Kav said: “It was our family’s first ever experience on a stream train and also Esha’s first experience on a red, double decker bus so you can imagine the excitement. We all had a lovely time thank you.”

Haven House's Director of Care Aisling Kilbane said: “It was a fabulous event, and it was so joyful to see all the families making magical memories that will last forever."
