Our Chief Executive Ralph Coulbeck will be moving to a senior leadership role within the local NHS. Ralph joined Haven House in Summer 2023 and has overseen the implementation of a new care strategy and significant changes to fundraising and commissioning arrangements. Ralph is moving to NHS Northeast London Integrated Care System as its new Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.

Ralph said:

Haven House is an incredibly special place and I have enjoyed working here enormously; we have made huge progress in the last year and I am confident that this organisation has a very bright future. Haven House is a community of children, families, staff and volunteers that unite around an inspiring common cause: providing care and support to children and families living with serious illness. I am sorry to be leaving my current role, but I hope to remain a part of this community long into the future.”

Ian Ailles, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Haven House, said: “It is a testament to Haven House’s standing in the local health economy that our chief executive is joining the senior team in our local Integrated Care System. We are grateful to Ralph for his leadership over the last year and a half and we are excited about the opportunity to bring new leadership to our organisation at a time of significant opportunity within our sector. We are already planning our leadership transition over the next few months so that we can maintain the positive momentum we are seeing on so many fronts at Haven House.”

Ralph will remain in post for the next period while more detailed transition arrangements are put in place before moving to his new role later in the year. The Haven House board intends to begin the process of recruiting a permanent new chief executive next month.
