Haven House Children’s Hospice is delighted to announce the appointment of Lord (Julian) Fellowes and Lady (Emma) Fellowes as official ambassadors, joining the likes of England Captain Harry Kane.

The renowned couple, celebrated for their contributions to the arts, philanthropy, disability health and well-being,  will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and support for the hospice’s vital work.

Julian Fellowes, the acclaimed screenwriter, novelist, and creator of Downton Abbey, and Lady Fellowes, a dedicated health and disability philanthropist have a longstanding commitment to charitable causes and have supported the Woodford-Green based hospice for many years.

Only this autumn, the couple hosted a garden party at Haven House alongside their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie where they planted a commemorative tree in the hospice’s historic grounds. As ambassadors, they will continue to champion Haven House’s mission to provide compassionate and high-quality care to seriously ill children and their families.

Lord Fellowes said:

It is a privilege to support the remarkable work of Haven House Children’s Hospice. We are tremendously honoured to be ambassadors for such a wonderful hospice. Haven House is incredibly special to us. We were amazed when we first visited, as we are today. The care and compassion provided to children and families when they need it most is truly inspiring.

Lady Fellowes added: "We have seen firsthand the difference that high-quality hospice care can make. By joining Haven House as ambassadors, we hope to contribute to their efforts in ensuring every child and family in the community receives the care and support they need in the most challenging of times."

Haven House provides a range of services, including short breaks, end of life care, therapeutic and supportive services, helping hundreds of families every year. The hospice relies heavily on donations to continue its care.

Haven House Chief Executive Ralph Coulbeck said: "We are thrilled to have Lord and Lady Fellowes join us as ambassadors. Their passion for making a difference and their influence will undoubtedly bring greater attention to the importance of children’s hospice care and the challenges we face in providing it."
