We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the phenomenal achievement of our Haven House London Marathon team, who together have raised an outstanding £63,500 to support seriously ill children and their families.

Whether pounding the iconic streets of London or taking on the virtual Marathon MyWay, every runner showed incredible heart, grit, and dedication - all in support of our hospice and the families who rely on us.

Each of our runners has their own unique story - a personal motivation, a powerful reason for lacing up their trainers, and a deep commitment to supporting Haven House. Their dedication, courage, and heart have truly inspired us. Here’s a few words from some of the incredible individuals who went the distance for our children and families:

Janine Durrant (Time: 4:23:48)

“What an incredible day running the London Marathon! I'm beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to run for Haven House - an amazing charity. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey.Janine Durrant (Time: 4:23:48)

Nick Aird (Time: 3:25:14)

“It was a privilege to run through the streets of London for such a great cause. The atmosphere made all the difference. I’ve come away with a great sense of pride, a rather impressive medal - and a sunburn that feels like I’ve been on holiday in Europe!”

Roger Goldie (Time: 3:42:00)

“An amazing experience! I went out faster than I should have and paid for it in the final 15k, but thinking about the children helped me dig deep and reach the finish line.”

Lois Jackson

“I was so nervous and emotional the day before, but on the day, I just kept thinking of Edie and what she went through - that gave me strength. A marathon is nothing compared to what these children face.”

Amy Young (Time: 5:42:00)

“Taking on the marathon was one of the most challenging but rewarding things I’ve ever done. I trained through winter, battled injuries, and was spurred on by the thought of helping children under Haven House’s incredible care. From never having run in my life to completing a marathon - I now know I can do anything I set my mind to.”

Joe Whitbread (Time: 3:33:00)

“One of the hardest but best days of my life.”

Sanchez Hardy (Time: 4:02:00)

“The day was electrifying. The energy from the crowd was amazing - something I’ve never experienced before. To do this for Haven House after everything they’ve helped me with was sensational.”

Rebecca Green (Time: 4:54:00)

“Without a doubt one of the hardest things I’ve done - but so memorable. The crowds were unbelievable, and Haven House’s support was fantastic from start to finish.”

Natasha Cohen (Time: 4:30:00)

“Challenging yet unreal. I’m so grateful to have raised over £3,000 for such an amazing cause.”

Charlie Button (Time: 4:45:00)

“The first 20 miles felt good - the last 6 were tough! But the cheers from friends, family and strangers kept me going.”

Marcela Orgel (London Marathon MyWay, Time: 5:36:00)

“This is my second time running virtually for Haven House. It's the perfect way to challenge yourself while making a real difference where it matters most.”

Elsie Baldwin (aged 9)

And a special shoutout to young superstar, Elsie Baldwin (aged 9), who took part in the London Mini Marathon, finishing her mile in just 7 minutes and 36 seconds! Elsie, we’re so proud of your compassion and spirit!

A huge thank you to every single runner who trained for months, battled nerves, endured the heat, and ran every mile for the children and families we care for. You are all part of the Haven House family, and your support means the world.
