Stories The Haven House Ball 2025 More than 300 guests attended the Haven House Children’s Hospice Ball at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on Thursday 20 March. The evening boasted a sparkling drinks reception, three-course dinner, raffle, auctions and sensational entertainment from the Aston Band. The fundraising evening raised approximately £180,000 for our charity and was hosted by Haven House patron and daytime TV presenter Ben Shephard. The glamourous exclusive black-tie event was attended by celebrity ambassadors creator of Downton Abbey, Lord Julian Fellowes and his wife Lady Emma Fellowes. Hospice ambassadors and reality TV stars Billie and Greg Shepherd. The Only Way is Essex's Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows. Haven House provides physical, emotional and practical support to seriously ill children and their families in West Essex, East Hertfordshire and North East London. Our services include specialist nursing care, symptom management support, respite care, wellbeing activities, therapies, counselling, and end of life care. During an extremely poignant moment of the evening guests were shown Haven House’s new film that captures the everyday experiences of a seriously ill child and his brother, highlighting the essential care and support we provide. The groundbreaking film has been developed by creative agency, MOREVER. Entitled: Through Their Eyes, showing the hospice through the eyes of six-year-old Charlie, and his older brother, Dylan putting the audience directly into their world. As Charlie does not use words to communicate, his brother Dylan provides the voiceover, emphasising the bond between brothers and offering a glimpse into how Charlie experiences joy at Haven House in ways that are deeply personal and profound. Speaking on the night Ben Shephard said: “Haven House Children’s Hospice is a place of care, love and hope for so many families facing the toughest of challenges. They provide vital support to children with life-limiting conditions, ensuring they receive the care, comfort and joy they deserve.
